Water & Sewer Emergencies

The Northampton County Water and Sewer Department personnel is available to respond to emergencies at all times.  To report an emergency situation, dial one of the following telephone numbers:

(This is the phone number for the Northampton County E-911 Office Dispatch.  The E-911 Office will dispatch the Northampton County Water and Sewer Department personnel after normal business hours.)

The Northampton County Water and Sewer Department dispatches maintenance personnel to handle any problem on the public water and sewer system.  This service is provided at no charge.  The Authority does not maintain or repair water and sewer lines on customer’s property.

The Northampton County Water and Sewer Department facilities extend up to, and including the water meter and sewer cleanout.  These appurtenances are usually located adjacent to the highway right-of way.  It is a good practice to determine the location of these items.   Additional information regarding the water meter/sewer cleanout can be obtained from the Northampton County Water and Sewer Department at (252) 534-6341.  A representative is available for questions during normal business hours.
